The Language Flagship aims to strengthen the talent pipeline for federal agencies in need of advanced language expertise. With the Flagship program focusing on language proficiency and cultural competency critical to U.S. national security, Flagship students are well positioned for career opportunities in the federal government. Flagship certified students enter the workforce with a superior level of proficiency in their target languages. Flagship alumni have been hired across a range of federal agencies.

Flagship alumni have also found success around the world in a wide range of professional fields. Flagship students stand out in today’s job market not only because of their language skills but also because of their ability to navigate complex cross-cultural environments.

The Language Flagship fosters connections among students and alumni nationwide, building lasting professional networks that will support Flagship students and alumni throughout their careers.

The Chinese Flagship Program was the exact catalyst I needed to take my language skills to true fluency. During immersion, it was the combination of rigorous academics and connecting with my fellow students, both from the US and native to Taiwan, that ended up as my most meaningful memories. This program proved to me my own resilience and commitment to growth, and in return opened doors to opportunities I’m beyond excited to pursue.
