Capstone Year

All Flagship students are required to participate in a Capstone year. The Capstone year is a year in China consisting of a combination of direct enrollment at a Chinese university taking courses side-by-side with Chinese peers in each individual student's domain area, along with an internship utilizing Chinese in each individual student's future career field. This combined approach allows students to solidify both their academic and professional fluency in Chinese and represents a major step in their path to becoming true global professionals.

Once students have completed their domestic portion of the Flagship program they are eligible to apply for their Capstone year, which takes place at one of our two Flagship overseas centers. Because of the importance and depth of the Capstone application, students intending to apply to a Capstone program should begin advisement with ASU Chinese Flagship Center staff a year prior to applying for Capstone.
